Travel has always been a source of joy and perspective for me. Early service trips to Honduras, Nicaragua, China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh showed me how exploring new cultures builds connection and wonder (even without luxury stays).

For 20 years I worked in education as a teacher, consultant, and nonprofit director, earning a doctorate and honing skills in planning, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Those same skills now guide me as a travel advisor.

Crafting custom itineraries is like designing a great lesson plan: I balance time, interests, and logistics to create something seamless and unforgettable. Helping others experience the world and making every detail stress-free and perfectly tailored is truly my favorite work yet

A travel advisor saves you time, takes away the overwhelm, and adds value you can’t always get on your own, like exclusive perks, VIP treatment, and expert recommendations. I act as your personal travel advocate, making sure your trip is seamless from start to finish, and handling any hiccups so you can relax and enjoy the journey.

Most of my income comes from commissions paid by hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators after you travel. But those commissions don’t increase your cost. Often, I can actually get you better rates or added amenities than booking direct.

While hotel bookings are complimentary, my planning fee covers the time, expertise, and personalized service I put into crafting custom itineraries. Think of it like hiring an interior designer. You’re paying for the knowledge, connections, and behind-the-scenes effort that make your experience exceptional.

I can book premium economy, business, and first class flights, as well as private jets. Sometimes, I book economy flights as part of a package with a resort or cruise.

No, I can not work with these sources, but I have fantastic partners with highly vetted villas and apartments that I can help you book.

Often I can do a “takeover booking” which means I’ll be added as the agent of record and you get all the perks. No extra money out of your pocket, just the perks added to the reservation.

Absolutely. You can be as hands-on as you like. Many of my clients love doing their own research but rely on me to refine the plan, fill in the gaps, secure exclusive benefits, and manage all the logistics so nothing falls through the cracks. You are still the decision maker.

As early as possible. Ideally several months before you plan to travel. The earlier we start, the more options we have for securing the best rates, availability, and experiences. For bucket list trips, holiday travel, or group trips, 9 to 12 months ahead is ideal.
